HI, I’M CLAUDIA
I’m a Guatemalan Spanish teacher with 18 years of experience teaching students from all over the world.
I’ve worked with beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, professionals, travelers, couples, and even older adults — each with different goals, learning styles, and life stories.
Over the years, I’ve learned something very important:
Every student is different — and your lessons should be too.
That’s why I focus on understanding your strengths, your challenges, and your pace…
so we can build a learning process that truly works for you.
I create a relaxed and personal environment where you can feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and making mistakes.
Because that’s how real learning happens.

My English
✓ I have a basic level of English
✓ I can support you with key words and simple explanations when needed
Even if you’re a beginner, don’t worry — I understand how you feel.
I’ve worked with many students who didn’t speak Spanish at all when they started.
I usually speak mostly in Spanish (with some English support),
so you can immerse yourself naturally from day one.
💬 This helps reduce fear and build confidence faster.

Happy Students
I had a really great experience learning with Claudia.
She adapted the lessons based on what I wanted to learn and what I needed more help with.
She found the perfect balance between conversation and grammar, which made the lessons both effective and enjoyable.
I’ve had other teachers before, but they usually focused on just one thing — with Claudia, I got both.
Honestly, she was the best teacher I had in Guatemala, and I would definitely recommend her.

In my classes, we don’t just learn the language — we also explore:
✓ Guatemalan traditions
✓ Daily life and social culture
✓ Expressions and regional vocabulary
✓ Places, food, and experiences
Because understanding the culture helps you understand the language in a deeper way.

Outside of teaching…
I’m a mother of three, and teaching Spanish has allowed me to balance my work and my family.
In my free time, I love:
|
✔ Having coffee with my friends
✔ Watching movies with my kids ✔ Hiking in the mountains with my siblings and friends. |
✔ Going for walks around my city
✔ Listening to music in Spanish, English, and instrumental ✔Dancing at home and Taking Zumba classes |
I love teaching because
For me, teaching is not just about language.
It’s about connection.
I love getting to know my students, hearing about their lives, and building real relationships over time.
Some of my students have been with me for years
— we stay in touch, celebrate special moments, and even meet when they visit Guatemala.
That’s what makes this work so meaningful to me.
